MEET OUR COUNSELOR: Abbey Eastman

Photo of TMS Counselor, Abbey EastmanMy name is Abbey Eastman, and I am the proud Tuffree Middle School Counselor. I have worked in PYLUSD for over 20 years, in various positions. I am also a product of PYLUSD, attending Elementary through High School in our district. I graduated from Cal State Fullerton with my Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Adolescent Development, and later went onto Azusa Pacific University where I obtained my Master's Degree in Educational Counseling.

I am here to support students both academically and emotionally. I provide academic interventions, personal/social-emotional counseling, group counseling and conflict mediation, as needed. My goal is to help successfully transition students from elementary school to middle school and from Middle School to High School.

Parent  University

The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District values the active role parents take in their child’s education. In order to support this relationship, the District has implemented a parent education program entitled “Parent University.” They will offer free classes on various educational topics throughout the school year so parents can become better equipped to support their child’s learning. Research indicates that when schools work together with families to support learning, students perform better in school and throughout life. Click HERE for more info!
