Principal's Message

TMS Families,

It continues to be a privilege to serve the Tuffree Middle School community as Principal. As I head into my sixth year as an administrator at Tuffree, I have a keen sense of what our community needs and deserves. From academics to arts and athletics, we have made great strides over the past several years.  Our teachers, staff and students have successfully responded to the charge to “level up,” and the results speak for themselves.  The percentage of students at or above grade level in both math and language arts has improved by over 10% the past two years, with our student performance sitting well above the state average.  Our students brought home five district championships in boys cross country, girls flag football, both boys and girls wrestling and track.  Nearly 40% of students participated in performing arts, and we are proud to say that we received the district distinction of having the best attendance amongst middle schools. Students show up for adults they like, and we are so lucky to have the most dedicated and caring staff around.

I believe that every student can be successful. How that is defined may look different for each child, and how we get them there takes a village. I look forward to partnering with you to provide the most meaningful and positive middle school experience we can for your students. Tuffree has established a tremendous foundation, and I am humbled to work alongside our staff, students, and community as we say “Challenge Accepted” to all that lies ahead this year.
